Ratings, Ratings, Ratings...

Don't we all love ratings. Now in seeing these numbers , PLEASE , PLEASE don't give up on working toward electing Democrats to office representing the great state of Wyoming. It is possible. We must change our way of talking to the voters. We can do it. (ok..enough of the pep talk -- here are the numbers...)

Thomas Craig: 60% Apprrove 25% Disapprove
Michael Enzi: 62% Apprrove 23% Disapprove

George Bush: 58% Apprrove 38% Disapprove

I'm from Casper but now live in South Dakota. I have a blog called Proud Liberal at www.proudlib.squarespace.com I've added a link to your site on mine. I'm very happy to see a liberal blog in Wyoming. Good luck and keep the faith. In a state that didn't even vote for one of their own for President just because he was a Democrat (McGovern), for a time we actually had two Democrat Senators and a Democrat Rep at the same time. Of course that was too good to last and we had to vote out the minority leader in the Senate last time around, but still, when you look at Montana to the North and SD to the East, you have to believe it can happen in Wyoming too.

I just found out about a national social group called "Drinking Liberally" a month ago. I'm from Idaho (and you know how RED we are!) and decided to start a group in our small town (pop. 2800). We were the third club in Idaho.

I was checking the site www.drinkingliberally.org and saw that Wyoming was one of the few states that doesn't have any clubs at all. I just wanted to put the word out to see if anybody in Wyoming wanted to start one. It was pretty easy to do (an e-mail or two, and a phone call). The organization provides a blog, forum, e-mail reminder programs, etc.. It's free, no dues, etc. Their website can walk you through it. (You can check out what we've done so far at http://drinkingliberally.org/locations.html#gooding.)

We had our second meeting tonight. Last week we had a "special guest" (blogger, author, activist, etc.) who came and visited with us. This week we had two Democratic congressional candidates. We've had a decent turnout considering our environment.

The reason I'm contacting Wyoming bloggers is because I think that if we all work together, we can make some changes. Living in a rural red region, I found it lonely just relying on blogs for my connections. Having a social group has helped us with networking, support, and visibility.

I hope you don't mind that I'm sharing this with you!

Sincerely,

So I see that Wyoming's primary is tomorrow. Are there any races at all, state legislative ones for instance, where progressive Democrats should have our fingers crossed?
